Roots For Resilience
Supporting Psychosocial Oncology Services at Juravinski Cancer Center
Cancer affects the whole family, but they don’t have to go through it alone. Psychosocial Oncology services at Juravinski Cancer Centre offer support to patients and families at any point along the journey, from diagnosis and treatment to follow-up care, to counseling and bereavement services for patients’ families. The program provides social work, dietary, and pain and symptom management support, helping patients and families address social, psychological, emotional, and spiritual needs related to cancer.
You can help support patients and families, too. Join us for Roots for Resilience, an event series from April 26 to April 30 that will raise funds and awareness for Psychosocial Oncology Services at Juravinski Cancer Center. These funds will help them expand upon their literary resources that help guide patients and families through the journey and will also contribute to a quiet room within the unit, a comforting and peaceful space for both adults and children.
Sign up for our Roots for Resilience events: An Author Panel Talk on Monday, April 26; Trivia on Wednesday, April 28; and Bingo on Friday, April 30! Have fun, win prizes, and contribute to a great cause.
Thank you for supporting Juravinski Cancer Center and Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation!
